RIGHT CHOICE FURNITURE AND HOME DECOR TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE 

1. Conditions of Sale

 At Right Choice Furniture and Home Decor , we encourage customers to carefully consider their purchases before completing a sale, as we do not take responsibility for changes of mind or incorrect decisions made at the time of purchase.

• Payment Terms: 
All balances must be fully settled at least 2 days prior to delivery. We reserve the right to withhold delivery if any payment is outstanding. 

• Order Cancellation: 
Orders can be canceled; however, once a deposit has been made, cancellations will incur a 20% fee of the total order value. If cancellation is requested after the goods have been received by the customer, a claim must be submitted within 7 days of receiving the items, subject to review by our team.

• Damages During Delivery:
Any damage to products must be reported within 7 days of delivery. In cases where the delivery address is more than 70km from the nearest store, it is the customer’s responsibility to arrange transportation for returning damaged goods. 

2. Layby Conditions and Cancellation Fees 
• Layby Deposit:
A deposit of 30% is required to start any layby agreement. 

•Layby Duration:
The standard layby period is 8 weeks, after which layby balances must be fully paid. An additional weekly fee of $50 will apply if the layby period exceeds 8 weeks.

• Cancellation of Layby:
If a customer decides to cancel a layby agreement, a cancellation fee equivalent to 20% of the total order amount will be charged. If the goods have been stored for a significant period, a storage fee may also apply. 

3. Returns and Exchange Policy
Right Choice Furniture and Home Decor is committed to providing high-quality furniture. If a product is faulty or damaged upon delivery, the customer is entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund, in accordance with Australian consumer law.

• Returns for Faulty Goods:
Claims for faulty goods must be made within 7 days of delivery. Customers must contact us with details and provide proof of purchase for any claim to be processed. 

• Return Assessment Fee:
If the customer requests pickup of faulty goods for assessment, a fee of $100 may apply.

• Change of Mind:
Returns or exchanges due to changes of mind are not accepted. Ensure that your measurements, color choices, and furniture preferences are accurate before finalizing the sale. 

4. Delivery Terms 
• Delivery Fees and Services:
Delivery charges are calculated based on location and the size of the order. Deliveries are only made to ground-floor entrances unless agreed upon otherwise.

• Assembly & Removal:
Our standard delivery does not include furniture assembly or removal of furniture. Please make separate arrangements for these services.

• Difficult Access:
It is the customer’s responsibility to inform Right Choice Furniture and Home Decor of any access challenges, such as narrow doorways, stairs, or restricted spaces, that could affect the delivery process. We will not be held liable for damages that occur when attempting to access these areas.

• Missed Delivery:
If you are not available during the agreed delivery window, a redelivery fee may apply. It is essential to have someone available to receive the goods during the scheduled delivery time. 

5. Warranties
Right Choice Furniture and Home Decor offers warranties that cover defects in material and workmanship under normal use. Warranty periods vary by product type, as outlined below:

• Frames: 5-year warranty
• Foam: 1-year warranty
• Fabric/Leather: 1-year warranty 

• Weight Capacity:
Most furniture is designed to hold up to 120kg per seat. Overloading may void the warranty. 

• Warranty Claims:
To make a warranty claim, customers must contact us via email, attaching photos and a description of the defect. Right Choice Furniture and Home Decor reserves the right to inspect the product and, if necessary, decide whether to repair, replace, or refund the item based on the findings.

6. Care Instructions
To ensure the longevity of your furniture, we recommend following the care guidelines provided:

• Leather :
Over time, genuine leather may change color and develop creases. These are natural characteristics of leather and do not indicate defects. Claims related to cuts, burns, or misuse are not covered under warranty.

• Fabric:
Woven fabrics may experience pilling (the formation of small balls of fibers on the surface) over time. This is a normal occurrence and not considered a defect. We recommend regular cleaning and care to minimize wear.

• Timber Furniture:
As a natural material, timber may display slight imperfections such as knots, grain variations, or color changes. These are inherent characteristics of wood and should not be considered defects. Proper care is essential to prevent cracking or warping, especially when exposed to direct sunlight or moisture.

7. Store Pickup Conditions
• Pickup Timeframe:
Customers opting for in-store pickup must collect their items within 7 days of notification. After 7 days, a storage fee of $50 per week will apply.

• Responsibility During Pickup :
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their vehicle is suitable for transporting the furniture safely. Right Choice Furniture and Home Decor will not be held liable for any damage that occurs during transport once the items have left our premises.

• Damage During Pickup:
If you report any damage during pickup, the item must be returned immediately for assessment. Any goods that leave the store cannot be accepted for claims if damage occurs after pickup.

8. Sunlight and Environmental Exposure
Furniture should be kept out of direct sunlight and away from excessive heat or moisture. Prolonged exposure may lead to fading, warping, or cracking, which is not covered under warranty.
